Associate Forensic Engineer
Dial Engineering is a consulting firm dedicated to the analysis and prevention of accidents. Our goal is to reconstruct from a scientific viewpoint the complex events surrounding accidents involving mechanical systems on behalf of individuals, corporations, insurers, government entities, and legal practitioners.
The successful candidate is expected to quickly learn about, develop, and manage a broad spectrum of projects dealing primarily with accident reconstruction, vehicle dynamics, failure analysis, and mechanical design.
This individual will be responsible for review and analysis of documents and materials supplied by clients; participating in and conducting vehicle, component, and site inspections; planning and executing full-scale testing; component analysis; CAD modeling; computer simulation; photogrammetry and video analysis, preparing written reports; technical research; and project management.
Desired qualifications for this position include:
Recent B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely-related discipline
Hands-on mechanical aptitude and the capability to conduct mechanical inspections
Interest in, engineering skills regarding, and technical experience with vehicles
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Dedication to organization, quality, and accuracy
Strong CAD and/or computer graphics skills
Ability to manage client relationships
